The Kenai River gives up lots of once in a lifetime rainbows every year. Most trout fishermen think a trophy is 30", if that's your goal then we will try and make that become a reality. That's why we ask them a couple questions before booking a trout trip; is your group looking for action or are they looking to try and beat your personal best rainbow or dolly?

Kenai River Trout Run

Our rainbow trout and dolly varden season opens up June 11 for the entire Kenai River system. Around August 20th when the food supply runs short the big rainbows will start migrating up river. If you know when this is happening then you can try to intercept them to have a chance at a toad.

The limit is one rainbow and one dolly under 16". Our company is 100% catch and release. If we have guests that would like to have trout for dinner we do a guided trip on a few lakes that have kokanee and rainbow that are stocked by fish & game.

If you're coming up in late September to take advantage of the limit of 3 silvers and less crowds then this is a great time to chase some trophy rainbows
